DRAMBUIE HIGHLAND

Drambuie Speyside: 25th - 29th September 2005

Peter Steinle - RightFor those who have played in any of the four Drambuie Speyside Golf Classics, The Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore will be synonymous with a few drinks with friends, great hospitality and Peter Steinle - the hotel's larger than life owner.

The 2005 event will be just a little bit sadder for all of us at The Drambuie Classics following the death of Big Pete towards the end of November last year.

The big man was instrumental in helping us establish the event in 2001 when no-one else would and has supported the Speyside through receptions, prizegiving dinners and most memorably with the steam train and legendary fireworks displays.

Personally, Peter Steinle will be remembered for a lot more than his help on the Speyside Classic but to ensure that the event remembers him, the trophy donated by The Cairngorm Hotel will be renamed The Peter Steinle Bowl and played for annually. We'll have a wee one for you Peter! Thanks.

The Event

aviemore highlands resortThe fourth Annual Drambuie Speyside will tee off from the 25th of September with the traditional welcome drinks reception. The golf once again centres around Kingussie and Newtonmore to the south of Aviemore and Boat of Garten and Grantown-on-Spey to the north.

We've got a selection of accommodation as usual with the addition of a whole host of new rooms in the magnificently refurbished Aviemore Highlands Resort. The resort now boasts as well as a choice of three quality hotels, a new leisure complex with swimming pool and self catering lodges.

The Resort also boasts magnificent new meeting facilities and once again it offers businesses probably the most attractive venue for hosting conferences and exhibitions in the UK.

Kingussie
The course lies directly above

Grantown-on-Spey
The course is a mixture of
parkland and woodland with
many magnificent views towards
the Cairngorm range
