Whisky and Glenlivet have been entwined for centuries. A visit to the distillery will take you on a fascinating journey to the source of one of the greatest names in Scotch whisky. Discover the story of George Smith, founder of the distillery in 1824. A tale of smugglers, illicit stills, conflicts, all come to life before you in the interactive exhibition.

After your tour, enjoy coffee, a cold drink or some home cooking in the spacious cafe. The atmospheric room overlooks the visitor centre and the gently flowing water feature at the entrance to the exhibition area. The distillery's well stocked shop offers a wide range selection of gifts, clothing, books, and of course, the ultimate souvenir, a bottle or two of The Glenlivet Pure Single Malt Whisky. It's all part of a great day out at The Glenlivet Distillery.
From the harsh elements, spring water, malted barley and yeast are brought together to create and enlegant, perfectly balanced whisky. Handcrafted in the Livet valley since 1824.

Discover the secrets of whiskey making on the guided tour - view large wooden vats, copper stills and a vast bonded warehouse where the spirit 'sleeps' in the oak casks for at least 12 years. In the comfort of a dram room you will have an opportunity to sample either The Glenlivet 12 - year old, 18 - year old or 12 - year - old French Oak Finish. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
