Congratulations
to Karen Lobb - Winner of the Drambuie Fife Golf Classic 2005
Karen
sealed her Drambuie Fife Golf Classic victory with a final round of 32
points that guaranteed that she wasn't going to be caught. Not far behind
Karen was Guy Lamb with 143 points.
The
prizegiving dinner at the Old Manor Hotel, Lundin Links has become a traditional
way to cement the friendships that have developed over the week and this
year was even more sociable than ever with the fantastic four piece Scottish
Folk band to sign it off.

Sunday
5th June - Drambuie Welcome Reception
As
the golf classics mature and more players return year after year the social
side of the vents come to the fore.
This
year the Drambuie Fife Golf Classic teed up with an informal drinks reception
on the Sunday afternoon at the wonderful Inn at Lathones situated just
south of St Andrews. Auld acquaintances were reintroduced - "Did
I not play with you in the Fife event in 2001?" - and new friendships
forged. The Americans, Germans, English, Scots, Welsh,Irish and South
Africans all enjoyed a little Drambuie on Ice and readied themselves for
some wonderful golf.

Day
1 Monday 6th June - Ladybank
With
the Fourth Drambuie Fife Golf Classic underway there really is few places
that can match this particular part of Scotland in June. Overnight clouds
disappeared and another bright, sunny day appeared for the first day's
play over Ladybank, the only parkland course of this years four courses.
Ladybank
offers a stern test for the most discerning club golfer, some lovely holes
and vistas situated in this wonderful treelined setting. The best score
carded on the day was a great 38 points from Peter
Field with Tony Crowfoot coming in close with
37 points and our highest placed lady Jill Leonard on
36 points.
