This national museum tells the story of the fishing industry from the earliest times to the present date. The museum has many fine paintings and photographs on display as well as model and actual boats, fishing gear, and lifesize models of fisherfolk. Wheelchair friendly throughout. Tea-room and souvenir shop. Coach parking.

Independent museum with charitable status opened in 1969. Expanded in the 1980's and again in the 1990's. Latest extension due for completion in Autumn 1999.

On south east coast of Fife 10 miles from St Andrews overlooking the Firth Of Forth.
