Drambuie
East Lothian Golf Classic 2003
East
Lothian, scene of last year's superb Open Championship victory by Ernie
Els and venue to the second Drambuie East Lothian Golf Classic. Following
on from the first event held in the autumn of 2002, the Drambuie East
Lothian has moved on to four brand new courses - Musselburgh, The Glen,
Kilspindie and best know of them all the famous Gullane No. 1.
As usual
the Drambuie Scottish Golf Classics are about more than just golf; The
East Lothian event ties in not only a superb blend of links and parkland
courses but also the chance to enjoy some great wee coastal villages and
Edinburgh is a short drive away.
The event
is launched this year at the magnificent new set up at Craigielaw. We've
got together with the club to offer all those playing in the event the
opportunity to enjoy the excellent Donald Steele designed junior course
and enjoy a wee taste of Drambuie at the informal drinks reception on
the Sunday afternoon from 4pm until 6pm.
Craigielaw
hosted one of the rounds at last year's event and drew praise from all
who played it. The new layout specifically developed to assist in the
growth of junior golf in the area is a superbly testing challenge aimed
at introducing more juniors to the game. See South

The week's
golf tees up on the Monday at Musselburgh, Tuesday at The Glen, Wednesday
at Kilspindie and on the Thursday at Gullane No 1.
In addition
to the golf we've got even more fun in store and we are absolutely delighted
to confirm that included in this year's entry fee will be entry to the
evening meeting at the wonderful, Musselburgh Racecourse on the Monday
night. The racecourse encircles the old golf course and provides a fantastic
evening's entertainment.
Subject to
numbers, we're also planning our annual Quiz night, which will be held
at the Kilspindie house Hotel on the Tuesday evening. The prizegiving
dinner takes place on the Thursday evening from 7.30pm.
There are
still space available for non accommodation packages for the event and
we'd be delighted to welcome local golfers to play in the second Drambuie
Golf Classic.
