The
Glen Golf Club
 Glen
Golf Club, established in 1906, has developed into a testing course with
some beautiful holes laid out in a combination of inland turf and traditional
links setting. Every hole offers the golfer a different perspective of
the Firth of Forth, with views dominated by the Bass Rock, one of the
world's largest bird sanctuaries. Look forward to what is widely acknowledged
as one of Scotland's finest holes, the short 13th. Then, end with a drive
from the elevated 18th tee, where panoramic views of North Berwick and
the Firth of Forth are among the best in East Lothian.
The
course is situated just a few miles from Muirfield and Gullane and is
readily accessible by road. The course offers some testing and beautiful
holes to enjoy, laid out in a combination of inland turf and traditional
links setting in a coastal location. Work is well in hand to extend the
existing 6,094 yard par 69 course to 6,243 yards (standard scratch 70)
by March, 2003.
